The Department of Trade and Industry–Philippine Accreditation Bureau (DTI-PAB) successfully conducted a two-part training workshop on ISO 21001 — Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS) last September 15 –17, 2025. Designed to strengthen the capacity of educational institutions nationwide, the activity aimed to promote the adoption of quality management systems aligned with international standards.
The first part of the program introduced participants to the principles, requirements, and benefits of ISO 21001. Emphasizing leadership, process alignment, and continual improvement, the session provided a clear understanding of EOMS and its relevance to educational organizations. This foundational knowledge set the stage for effective system adoption and long-term quality enhancement.
The second part of the workshop offered practical experience in developing institution-specific documentation. Participants engaged in collaborative group work to draft key EOMS components, including: Interested Party Requirements, EOMS Policy and Objectives, Process Mapping, and Risk Assessment. These exercises equipped attendees with essential skills for implementation and audit readiness, reinforcing their preparedness for future certification.
The event brought together representatives from various educational institutions across the country, fostering a collaborative environment for learning and professional growth. Through interactive sessions and peer exchange, participants deepened their commitment to quality, credibility, and continual improvement in educational management.
DTI-PAB extends its sincere appreciation to all participating institutions for their active engagement and dedication to advancing educational excellence through ISO 21001. ♦
