The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) promotes global competitiveness through various programs. The Doing Business in Free Trade Areas (DBFTA) initiative conducts extensive information sessions on the Philippines’ Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), highlighting market opportunities, tariff reductions, rules of origin, and customs procedures to attract international businesses. The EU-GSP+ program allows Philippine exporters to ship over 6,000 products to 28 EU member countries duty-free, boosting sectors like food, garments, furniture, and chemicals. The Philippine Quality Award (PQA), the nation’s highest recognition for organizational excellence, honors public and private institutions that demonstrate superior quality management and performance, based on global Total Quality Management (TQM) standards.
