DTI-Laguna Equips Santa Rosa City MSMEs and Provides Seminar on Budget Management
Santa Rosa City — The Laguna Provincial Office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-Laguna), represented by its Negosyo Center Santa Rosa, conducted a seminar entitled “Budget Management” on March 10, 2025, at the Holy Rosary College in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. This program was designed to equip future entrepreneurs and people who are going to start the micro, small, and medium enterprises with the basic money management skills. The DTI reiterates with this event its dedication to empower locals and encourage development in the economy through responsible business to create better opportunities within the region.
This seminar was mainly conducted to share with participants their expertise and skills in budget handling. This covered connection on practical financial management, cost management and resource allocation. Attendees would be better equipped to develop and maintain budgets that enable growth, maximize profits and ensure sustainability through the use of these skills. Additionally, the seminar equipped the participants with a comprehensive understanding of budgeting tools, methodologies, and practices imperative for well-informed economic decision making and ensuring the financial stability of their enterprises.
The program started with an opening prayer and an energizing activity to create a conducive learning atmosphere. The event commenced with opening remarks by Mr. Paulo G. Velasco, CGDH 1 Office of the Cooperatives Development Officer/Negosyo Center Manager. The two (2) invited resource speakers who discussed budget management were Ms. Nicka Jean D. Atayde, Negosyo Center Business Counsellor, and Mr. Jeffrey Constantino, Admin Assistant 1 of Public Employment Service Office (PESO). All speakers were awarded certificates in recognition of their positive enthusiasm to share their talents and expertise to their clients.
This seminar was a major success with 171 participants wanting to improve their financial literacy. The efforts of the DTI-Laguna and Negosyo Center Santa Rosa City play a crucial role in building a financially informed and strong business community, thereby adding value to the local entrepreneurial landscape. As a result, the seminar’s impact will reach fill way to beyond the event, as participants will surely be able to put into practice sound budget management principles in their future, and ongoing business activities (NJDAtayde, DTI-Laguna). ♦
