DTI supports the ‘Serbisyo Caravan Handog sa Araw ng Migranteng Manggagawa’ programme in Hong Kong

HONG KONG SAR, 9 June 2025 – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of the Philippines, through its overseas trade and investment office in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and Macau SAR, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Hong Kong (PTIC-HK), supported the “Serbisyo Caravan Handog sa Araw ng Migranteng Manggagawa (Serbisyo Caravan)” organized by the Migrant Workers Office – Hong Kong (MWO – HK) on 8 June 2025, at Chater Road, Central, Hong Kong. 

In celebration of the 127th anniversary of Philippine Independence and the 30th Migrant Workers Day, the Serbisyo Caravan, consisting of several Philippine government agencies including the DTI, served as a one-stop-shop of information to reintroduce Overseas Filipino Investors (OFIs) to the government’s various programs and services that they and their families can avail of. The event also featured street dancing through a Zumba Dance Showdown, games and music from a live band. 

During the event, PTIC-HK was able to present to OFIs programs launched by DTI that may help equip them for their future business plan and careers when they return to the Philippines, along with other useful information that might be beneficial for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) residing in Hong Kong.  

This year marks PTIC-HK’s first participation in the Serbisyo Caravan in Hong Kong for OFIs, where inquiries from five (5) of them residing in the territory were successfully addressed.
