ADVISORY: Special Service Campaign (SSC) for combination meter reprogramming/replacement on Lexus and Toyota models
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) informs the public that Toyota Motor Philippines is conducting a Special Service Campaign (SSC) for select Lexus and Toyota models due to a potential programming error in the combination meter system.
Affected Vehicles in the Philippine Market
A total of 4,588 units are covered under this campaign:
Lexus
- LM – 1,148 units (Produced: July 25, 2023 – April 18, 2025)
- LS500/500H – 24 units (Produced: October 16, 2023 – October 3, 2024)
Toyota
- Alphard – 2,708 units (Produced: June 12, 2023 – May 19, 2025)
- Camry – 1 unit (Produced: May 7, 2024)
- Corolla – 110 units (Produced: May 30, 2023 – September 20, 2024)
- Corolla Cross – 597 units (Produced: November 2, 2023 – October 21, 2024)
Nature of the Issue
The affected vehicles are equipped with a combination meter system that may experience a programming error, causing unnecessary data to be saved and leading to memory depletion. This can result in the 12.3-inch dashboard screen failing to turn on, leaving drivers without a visible speedometer or warning lights, which may increase the risk of accidents.
What Should Owners Do?
- Notification: Toyota Motor Philippines will notify affected customers through an official letter.
- Repair: Owners will be invited by authorized Toyota or Lexus dealers to reprogram or replace the combination meter system at NO COST.
- Check Your Vehicle:
Repairs will be available once the reprogramming software or replacement parts are ready, expected by October 2025 or later.
