ADVISORY: Call for Proposals for the 2025 Innovation Grants
The Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev), serving as the Secretariat to the National Innovation Council (NIC), invites eligible government organizations to submit proposals for innovation programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) to be funded under the 2025 Innovation Grants.
This initiative aims to promote innovation as a key driver of national development and economic growth, with a particular focus on supporting marginalized communities and integrating micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) into both domestic and global supply chains. The program is implemented in accordance with Republic Act No. 11293, also known as the Philippine Innovation Act.
Eligibility
The following entities are eligible to apply:
- National Government Agencies (NGAs), including attached agencies, regional offices, and operating units;
- Local Government Units (LGUs), including Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs);
- State Universities and Colleges (SUCs); and
- Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs).
Fundable Proposal Areas
Proposals may be submitted in any of the following areas:
- Pre-commercialization, commercialization, or diffusion activities;
- Innovation facilities and services;
- Promotion of innovation culture and capacity-building; and
- Innovation policy development and administration.
Key Dates
- Opening of Proposal Submission: June 23, 2025
- Submission Deadline: July 31, 2025
- Expected Project Commencement: 1st Quarter, 2026
